This is an exhibition about Drums. Drumming is one of the oldest sound creations and communication tool between humanbeings.
DESIGN CONCEPT
We developed an interactive journey were visitors discover and connect with drums and how their creation of beats and rhythms influence the human body. As it is a medium of communication it has the ability to create a connection between different cultures, communities and at gatherings.
THEORY/STATEMENT
Synchronicity in animal movement, patterns and migratory & collective behaviors are influenced by interspecies mimicry and environmental stimulation factors including sound, light, smell and space size.
This natural dynamic is relative to human
behavior and can be used as an instrument for designing exhibition environments that are visitor centric via circulation, interpretative experience juxtaposition, and arrangement of visitor services. This unique approach to designing projects can enhance visitor engagement, participation and duration in museum environments.
This Theory was tested within the ExhibitIon design.
This Theory and Exhibition project was presented at the 2018 IFES World Summit in Chicago, on the sustainable starters day.
